Visualizes the race for the postseason, shows who’s hot or not, and who is in the running for the division pennant and wildcards.
When I look at baseball standings, particularly around September, I want to know which teams are in the race for the post-season. But the wild-card slot makes it complicated. Also, I like knowing who is hot-or-not at the moment. All this information is there in MLB’s different standings, but I wondered if there was a way a graphic could show this information all at once.
So I created the Pennant Race Baseball App design. The idea is that you can see the pennant standings for today (or any previous day). Also, there’s an opportunity to create animation that would show movement over the season (or any date range thus far).
